New Training Course Release

19 May 2022

“Every person who, to any extent, is responsible for has control over or is engaged in an offshore project or whose acts or omissions could adversely affect the health and safety of persons involved in such projects shall take such measures as it is reasonable for a person in their position to take to ensure the health and safety of persons engaged in such a project is paramount.”

This includes the Client Worksite Representative who will act as the client's eyes and ears during the offshore phase of a project and is considered the client's primary method of monitoring the scope of work to ensure it is completed safety and efficiency.

Namaka Subsea are delighted to announce the latest edition to our online training catalogue, "Client Worksite Representative". This course aims to introduce candidates to the tools and knowledge required to carry out the role of a Client Worksite Representative successfully. This should be supported by the candidate's knowledge and experience gained over the years in the offshore industry, based on industry understanding and compliance. The course has been developed following the latest legislation, guidance and best practice, so you can be assured that the information is comprehensive and current.

The actions and activities of other people can affect the safety of the project team even though they are not members of the team. Therefore, they may have responsibilities for ensuring that industry best practices, guidance and legislation are complied with for matters under their control.

The Client Worksite Representative is usually a highly experienced and competent individual selected by an offshore operator to provide oversight at worksites. The Client Worksite Representative position is a key leadership role which is provided on behalf of the offshore operator's expectations and who is also responsible for monitoring all operations at the worksite to which they are assigned, to verify that the offshore operator's expectations and requirements are being adhered to.

Therefore, it stands to reason that, for specific complicated tasks, more than one discipline of Client Worksite Representative may be required. Therefore, Namaka Subsea has developed this course drawing on the experience and competence of our multidisciplined Subject Matter Experts, in service of developing applicable skills required to function in a Client Worksite Representative role, notably overseeing Subsea, ROV, Hydrographic Survey, Diving and Marine activities.

Our key objective is to provide a synopsis on key subjects required to ensure projects are carried out under the latest global legislations and best industry practices, highlighting industry-relevant processes and expectations that should reduce the risk associated with projects.
